Current Vacancies

Perth College is seeking a creative and enthusiastic Dance Teacher who is passionate about inspiring students and nurturing artistic expression within a dynamic learning environment.

This is a part-time role (approximately 0.43 FTE) to cover parental leave commencing Term 3 2026.  For the remainder of the 2026 School Year, the allocated timetable runs across 4-days per week with a possibility of additional cover continuing into 2027.

This role includes a Performing Arts time allowance to accommodate co-curricular Dance and/or Drama involvement.  

Experience teaching Year 11 and 12 ATAR Dance is a requirement.  In addition, we seek candidates who also have the flexibility and willingness to support our other Performing Arts, Drama and Junior School program when required.

If you are a passionate Dance Teacher who inspires creativity and ignites students from all different experience levels to develop a love for movement, we would like to hear from you. You will bring strong classroom management and communication skills, a positive education student-centred approach, and the ability to work collaboratively.

You have:

  • Bachelor of Education (Dance specialisation), or a relevant Dance/Performing Arts degree
  • Current registration with the Teacher Registration Board of Western Australia
  • Current Working With Children Check
  • Knowledge and experience in a range of dance styles and teaching methodologies (e.g. contemporary, ballet, jazz, hip hop)
  • Current Year 11 and 12 ATAR Dance experience
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and organisational skills
  • Strong collaboration skills, with the ability to share expertise and resources
  • Demonstrated strong dance technique and an understanding of choreography and performance
