First Nations Scholarships

Paving the way for remarkable women to create their place in the world.

At Perth College, we are committed to creating meaningful opportunities for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students to access a Perth College education and thrive within a supportive and culturally inclusive environment.

Our First Nations Scholarships are designed to recognise potential, nurture talent and empower students to pursue their aspirations. Through a combination of financial support and strong pastoral care, students are encouraged to grow academically, culturally and personally as valued members of our community.

Scholarship recipients are supported not only in their learning, but also through initiatives such as our Djook Djinda Group “Sister Stars” which fosters connection, cultural identity and a strong sense of belonging on campus.

We proudly partner with organisations such as MADALAH and the Australian Indigenous Education Foundation, alongside our own Foundation-funded Wulili Scholarship, to ensure a range of pathways are available for students from diverse backgrounds.

These scholarships provide part-remission of tuition (and, where applicable, boarding), helping to make a Perth College education accessible to students who may not otherwise have the opportunity.

We warmly encourage families to explore the options available and connect with our Enrolments team to learn more about how Perth College can support your daughter’s educational journey.

First Nations Scholarships for 2027

For students of Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander descent. Applicants are encouraged to visit madalah.com.au for more information regarding an application.

The Wulili Indigenous Student Scholarship is offered to an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander student who is entering the School in Years 7 to Year 11 in 2027 and who may not otherwise be able to come to the School.

The Wulili Scholarship is funded by the Perth College Foundation and the amount provided will depend on the individual family’s capacity to contribute and the extent of other funding they are receiving. It is expected that the family will make some monetary contribution towards the child’s ongoing education.

Students are selected based on achievements across a breadth of activities including academic, co-curricular, leadership, service and innovation/entrepreneurship strengths.

Application Criteria

To be considered for the Wulili Scholarship, students apply direct to the School in the year prior to entry. Students are required to submit a cover letter, addressed to the Principal, responding to the following questions:

  • Tell us about yourself and your family/traditional background
  • Why you would like to come to Perth College
  • What you feel you can bring to our School Community

In addition, to the cover letter the following documents will also need to be provided:

  • Two most recent school reports
  • Most recent NAPLAN results (if available)
  • Written essay: 350-500 word response to the following question:

“Leadership is about making a positive impact so that others can benefit more than you. Write about how you hope to show this in your own community, once you have finished school.”

Please email all the above responses and supporting documents to enrolments@pc.wa.edu.au. Students are to apply for the Wulili Scholarship by 1 August of the year prior to entry.
